We have now been here almost half a year! God has used to help with a VBS, kids camp, and youth camp apart from the regular services and midweek studies.
In the VBS we saw several new families come the following Sunday and parents being saved! It was the first for our church to do "on their own". They did a great job! We now have two new faithful families all from the VBS.
Kids camp was great with 8 of our kids going. Sarah went as counselor to her first kids camp ever and tried to keep up with the kids! Ashley tried to be involved as much as she could while still trying to learn the language! She did great!
At youth camp there were six from our church who attended. Four of the girls, one who recently started coming as a result of the VBS, surrended to God to do what He would with their lives! Praise the Lord for seeing teens giving their futures to Him!
We are currently in the proccess of getting our residence papers! And, as in most Latin America, we turned in the papers just for them to tell us the laws had changed in the few weeks we had been working on it and they needed additional paperwork and money! Again, we praise God for his provision in knowing what we need before we do and having a plan already in motion.

Guess what hapens in only four months!
Monday, 05 October 2009
Believe it or not we are only 4 months out from our departure date of February 9. this fact is becoming ever so bitter-sweet. We are excited to be reaching the goal that we set out for last year in August but we are also starting to feel some of the fear that comes with this reality. We are starting to talk about such things as residence papers, packing and transportation on the field. All these and many more elements of the impending move are constant reminders of how real this all is. Praise the lord, we already have our plane tickets and we have secured a house to move into. God has provided us with a house that exceeds our expectation for less than we had budgeted to spend. It sort of reminds me of verse in Ephesians, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”. In deed we do serve a all knowing, all powerful God.
