We just finished our 4 week Christmas series called, ¿Que te trajo el Niño? Which would translate to What did the Child bring you? This what they say in Costa Rica in stead of what did Santa bring you? We took this as an opportunity to take an element of culture and speak in to this season that is often full of sadness and despair and were able to talk about all that Christ brought to us by come to our world and bringing salvation and purpose to our lives.

New Location!

The congregation that has been meeting in a rented home for the last few years was able to move this month to a new location. god has blessed us with a great meeting place that was made even better by the hard work of many nationals and helpers from the States.

We pray that God will use this new location to open up more opportunities to see new Disciples com to our Lord Jesus.

Back from the Kuna

This year was a great blessing as Ashley and I were able to spend 2 weeks with the Kuna people on the San Blas Islands along with all the other team members that served in Panama this year. One of the great things about this year for our church was the fact that aside from us and the Rhotons we saw 4 Costa Rican people form our church come along giving of their time and money to serve along side us.

At the time of writing this there is still one week left but we know that once more God has blessed in a great way on all of the Islands that we have gone to. We have had the chance to share the Gospel with thousands of children, teens and adults and we look forward to hearing from the lead on this effort, Randy Rhoton, on a final report of the results and decisions.

We thank God for letting us be whiteness of such a great event and we plead that you continue to pray for this ministry as it evolves and grows.

When It Rains, It Pours

Today is sunny and bright! But this is not normal. It has been raining almost everyday since May as it usually is here. But unusually, Costa Rica received more rain in the first few days of November than they usually get the whole month, and it's usually the heaviest month! As a result there have been landslides and floodings with so many families losing thier homes and many deaths due to the landslides. As we have not been directly affected in the are we work in, our heart goes out to those fellow missionaries who do work in those areas that are directly affected. May God use them to be a greater witness during this difficult time and bring healing to hearts and bodies.

On a good note, this last Sunday brought showers of people to church Sunday! We had over 80 in attendance with standing room only in the service! Kids classes were also filled and packed into their benches. We praise the Lord for the people coming and yeilding to the Lord. We do pray for funds and resources to be able to build a larger building on the land already purchased for the church. We are at a point to where we have absolutely no more room to grow, yet we need to keep growing and winning people to the Lord. Would you have a part in this?

We also had baptisms yesterday with a lady and her son and another little boy taking part! We baptize in a makeshift pool in the front yard of the house we rent to meet in so the community can see. Again, we praise God for the surrender of lives to Him and the obedience to Him thru baptism.

We have a visitor for a couple weeks from Springfield. Ralph Baldi has come down to "survey" and see if the Lord would use him in our VidaMinistries team!

Time is here to be getting ready for the Christmas season and then the Kuna Yala trips in January. Please pray for more witness and people added to church and safety and guidance in the Kuna Yala ministry!

Thank you to all who already have a part in the ministry here thru prayer and finances! You are laying up treasures in heaven!
